Our Mission
Northeast beef for Northeast consumers.
True sustainability means that everyone along the food chain eats: soil microbes, pasture plants, cattle, farmers, vendors, and consumers.
By raising 100% grass-fed cattle here in the Northeast U.S.A. - instead of overseas or in western feedlots - we reduce food miles, revive the region’s farmland, sequester carbon, provide delicious, healthy beef, and keep food dollars in the region where our customers live.
Our Methods
We raise our cattle without antibiotics or growth hormones.
They spend their entire lives on pasture. Our grazing methods regenerate farmland, protect against drought and flooding, and combat climate change by storing carbon deep beneath the ground.
We aggregate young stock onto our finishing farms, where skilled graziers fatten them for market on pasture alone - no grain ever. This “finish” is key to consistent, high-quality beef: tender and tasty every time.
Our Farm Network
We have developed partnerships with farmers throughout the Northeast. We provide the standards, protocol and other technical support they need to produce consistent, high-quality Big Picture Beef.
Our program helps Northeast farmers reach wholesale markets that would otherwise be unavailable to them.
